"The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree" is not exactly a Halloween story, but Stan and Jan Berenstain are certainly in the spirit of the October holiday in this story. Three little bears go off to investigate a very spooky old tree which leads to a subterranean lair that sure looks a lot more like a spooky fun house than you would think you might find inside a tree; and your young readers will be surprised what great sleeping figure the three little bears find down below. I especially like the expressions of terror on the face of the little bears when they finally decide it is time to make a quick exit from the Spooky Old Tree. This is one of the more imaginative tales put out by the Berenstains, which is what makes it perfect for this time of year.

I love reading this book to my little cousins. In fact I love all of the Bearinstain Bears books. I grew up with this series and i figure that she should too cause they are the best first time books for any little kid to have and read. I thought that the spooky old tree was a great book and i would recomend it to anyone who has kids or little cousins or little kid friends.
