some great poems, some alright ones - Rated what's good about this collection is that there are different poetry styles and diverse subject matter. In fact, the only thing really linking them is that they are all by female poets. However, I found quite a few of the poems rather dull. Perhaps because I like poems with strong imagery or ones that tell a story. I would recommend the book to those who are already fans of at least some of the writers in this collection, but had I borrowed this first, I wouldn't have been bothered about purchasing it for my bookshelf.
