Customer Reviews

This is the best book I have read yet - Rated 5/5
I have to admit I dont read too often, I've read a few dan brown books and the lonely dead since I left school but I loved this book! I know its a sequel but i still loved every bit of it I will most deffinatly check out more of his work.

Mmmm...Oooops - Rated 3/5
Unfortunately I have to agree with most of the other reviews about this book. Its rambling & all too often goes off on tangents that aren't necessary. And the ending sucks to.

WHy does he talk so much rubbish - Rated 3/5
i've read another one of his books, they are ok, i find he seems to go off on a tangent that doesn't really go with the story line, and he is very long winded in explaining things, something that could be explained in one paragraph is a whole chapter. i find him a hard author to get in too.

Excellent page turner - Rated 4/5
The Straw Men was excellent so I was a little sceptical as to whether he could match the thrill of the first in the series. But he did, it was excellent - a real page turner, could barely tear myself away. An the lovely big hardback looks so pretty on the shelf!

What the hell is going on? - Rated 2/5
This is a strange mess of a novel that never seems to quite know if it wants to continue along the conspiracy theory line of The Straw Men or become a bog standard serial killer thriller and as a result fall way short of the mark on both counts.
It start of promisingly but fails to deliver with constant half references to the previous book which will mean nothing to those that haven't read it and only serve to confuse the reader. The characters are all on a downward spiral with little light relief and if you haven't read the The Straw Men very recently you will quickly become lost and confused as to what all the fuss and references to them are all about.
