Great for children to get involved in their new babies - Rated
I brought this as I have 2 other children and it's really difficult trying to explain something to them something they cannot see.
There is a weekly update of the baby's rough weight and length, which children find interesting to know. Also, there are good pictures of the unborn baby week by week to show children what their sibling will look like.
There are a pictures that also show the mother-to-be's changing body shape, so be aware of that before the kids are shown, but over all it is a helpful guide for kids and parents alike.
There is also a section on eack week where you can fill in any anecdotes and appointments, you just input the dates for each week.

I had this book previously and shared it with my husband and son so that they could see how the baby was developing and my son was so excited and was very interested in the pregancy and what was going on inside my tummy.
Three years later, I'm now pregnant again and ordering the book for baby number 3 and look forward to sharing the experience again with my husband and children.
Not a lot of room for notes so you have to write small, but the images are so helpful when explaining to children and the visual is always better than words. Well done!

i have to write a review because i disagree with what was said in the last one.....obviously we are all entitled to our opinions...but coming from a single teenage mother...this book really helped me understand what was happening...it was VERY reasurring (even though i still checked each page 100 times a day!) it helped with pains and niggles/worries/eating/weight/progress.... basically its helping you so u dont nag your midwife every 5 minutes! ..i loved this book and was very happy to hand myself over to the 'medicals'...as they saved my babies life at the end of it all..so overall..very good book!
Not for the thinking woman! - Rated
As an antenatal teacher I was interested to see this book. Although the diagrams of the growing baby are interesting there is not enough space for mum to be to write anything meaningful. Worse still the information given on pregnancy and birth choices is really aimed at those who want to hand over all control to the medics and head lemming like for a medicalised sausage factory birth. If you are considering this then PLEASE buy yourself something more informative like Expecting or the Yehudi Gordon book.
The midwife by your bedside - Rated
This book is like meeting your midwife every week. It was reassuring for a first time mother-to-be and full of practical advices. But if I have to be completely honest I used it particularly to check on my weight gains!!! Complement it with another book about pregnancy and you will know pretty much everything you need to know for those long 9 months.
