Very moving and interesting read - Rated
I borrowed this off a work friend years ago, and every time I attempted to read it I got put off by the style it was written, from the perspective of two young friends, so I would read something else. However after tidying out my room, I found it and thought I would give it a try. It is such a great tale, and the way that you hear from everyone's perspectives is so insightful into how things that we say and do can be misinterpreted and makes you take a step back and have a look at our own lives. After the first few chapters, I couldn't imagine it being written any other way. As other reviewers have said, I don't want to go into any detail about the story, as I think the magic lays in reading the story as it unfolds. It really deserves to be read and although I'm mad at myself for not reading it earlier, I'm so glad I eventually got round to reading it. Although its quite a long book, I read it in a matter of days as it is so addictive. The characters are all three dimensional, funny and likeable.
I'm definitely a fan of Cecelia Ahern now, I can't wait to read PS I love you....and then watch the film!
Love it! - Rated
This has to be a tie for my favourite book (with Erica James- Tell it to the skies)
This book had me laughing and crying and I have probably read it about ten times. I'd recommend it to anyone who believes in true love or just likes to hope its real- this really restores your faith!
light hearted - Rated
It's what Ahern does best and I liked the book. Sweet, light hearted, and not in an overly lovey-dovey way, it was fun to read!
The whole thing is written through letters, which was interesting, and I didn't really think the story dragged on. But, if you don't feel like reading a fluffy chicky romance, I can see you tiring of it.
It's not as good as PS I Love You; but it's worth a read if you fancy it, which I did!
Just so annoying! - Rated
I love "PS I love you", and "If you could see me now" so I decided to try another of her books.
It's just so frustrating, it carries on way too long and you get towards the end and its just argh!!!! There is so much "will they?" "won't they?" "oh wait they almost..".
Its written in email form which is really sweet, but I just got so annoyed, I got to the end put it down and thought "well, that was depressing..."
However it could be seen as very romantic, fate just kept getting in their way sort of thing, but I got tired of it.....
