This is our favourite pressure cooker recipe book. Almost every recipe we have tried has been a winner, and having gotten into something of a rut cooking the same things all the time, this book has been a real incentive to try lots of new things. The book also has a great introduction about how to cook with a pressure cooker, and unlike many recipe books, a fantastic index. At the end of reach recipe there are some suggested variations and 'transformations' which is almost like getting another couple of books thrown in for free.

The only thing you have to look out for is that - as with many pressure cooker books - the vocabulary is American, so there are times when it is hard to work out exactly what ingredients are being specified. You also need to watch out for the fact that some American spices are less strong than their UK equivalents. Sometimes the quantities are rather large too.

But these are only minor niggles in what is a fantastic book and certainly the one I would recommend to anyone looking for a first pressure cooker cook book.
