Disappointing - Rated
This book has attracted an overwhelming number of good reviews. Mine isn't one of them. Danny Wallace, a sometime BBC producer, writes in a juvenile fashion about a sub-schoolboy philosophy supposedly passed on to him by a mysterious sage. No wonder the BBC has become dumbed down. I am afraid his much praised humour is entirely lost on me. Not a titter passed my lips. Sorry Danny. I am sure your next work will sell by the million, but I won't be buying it.

...only joking!
Brilliant book, well worth reading!
Only gripe is that it is slow in some parts but in others you are likely
to be laughing your head off and the conclusion is excellent!

Say "YES" to this read! - Rated
This was the first book i actualy read that wasnt Harry Potter or an action or horror book and i loved it. I was recomended my my cousin after i heard that Jim Carrey was bringing it to the big screen.
I have never read a book where i hit empathy with the author, like Danny i had also be loosing the love of life, and not getting out much. So i gave being a yes man a go for 1 week. I made a best friend, got on the front page of newspaper for fighting for cheaper bus passes for 6th formers, is being considered for a place on my parish council after saying yes to being on a commity who speaks to councillors. I bought someone a sandwitch and went out with friends ice skating.
I had never had so much fun or done so much in 1 week. Yes man is a must!

I have suffered from a creative mind all my life......... mostly alone. I love how this book has shown me that there are people out there that also want to try something so truly random and, in its way, rebellious and bashing what people are safe with - almost cringeingly (did he really do what he said he did), and that they show the same excitement for it and same playfulness that I do (bubbly excitement and swirling in the tummy)...well Danny W does anyway. I (that's said loud and indignantly) get into trouble and told off......he write books and get royalties....oh so do I...but not like his....dibbledy doo dip dah....hug an duck, bop a smile x love to you all

P.S I will add that I am only on page 45 but I just know it's going to be good.
Very, very funny. - Rated
Having read Join Me and finding that genuinly laugh-out-loud funny, I decided to give Danny Wallace's Yes Man a go, not expecting it to live up to it's predecessor.
I was laughing right from the very first page.
Danny's relaxed, witty style keeps you amused throughout and the scam emails just get funnier as the book goes on.
I read this twice while on holiday and returned with a new verve and habit of saying Yes to things that normally I would have avoided.
A very positive book and one that should make you at least smile, if not laugh out loud on a packed greek ferry like I did.
Buy it.
