Gotta love Flora's Lot!! - Rated
This was the first book that I read of Katie Fforde's and I loved it! It may not be the most complicated or action packed love story but it was heart warming and easy to form an attachment to.
I've since read a few other of Katie's books and I find them all as addictive as Flora's Lot.
I recommend this book to any ol' softy!
Dull ..... - Rated
I felt that this book was so lame that this is the first review I have ever written.
It is slow paced so much so that I could flick 2/3 pages and still keep up with what was going on.
Sorry if I give away the plot but isnt it a bit odd that its her cousin - even if it is 15th removed !!!
I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. This is the first book Ive read of hers and I dont think I'll be reading another.
slow, too long - Rated
very prdictable and i felt it was very slow movoing story that was about 200 pages too long, frankly i got a bit fed up reading it in the middle.
A little disappointed - Rated
Although I absolutely love Katie Fforde's books I was slightly upset when, having ordered this book thinking that it was new - I discovered that I already owned a copy - the title being "Bidding for Love". It would have been nice if there had been a note somewhere mentioning the fact.
Excellent - Rated
You cant go wrong with a Katie Fforde book - they are always guaranteed to make you smile and keep you reading till the end, and this, her 11th title, doesnt disappoint. Flora has sub-let her flat and her life in London to join the family antique business in the country which she inherits a majority share in. With her pitiful knowledge of the business limited to re-runs of the Antiques Roadshow, she's hardly an ideal partner in the firm, but what she lacks in experience she makes up for in enthusiasm. Packed full of great characters, I loved the uptight Annabelle - and with a great story, I got a real warm glow from reading thsi book. This will make my read-over-and-over-again list for sure.
