Monster Reading - Rated Possibly the worst book I have ever read.A complete bore. Excellent Book from an Excellent Author - Rated I have read all but one of Magdalen Nabb's books, and they are all excellent. Marshal Guarnaccia is a likable and sympathetic character. The stories themselves are often quite poignant and sad, and this book is no exception. In addition, I had not realized until I finished it that the whole story is based on a series of unsolved, real-life serial killings in Florence. I would like to correct a previous reviewer. "The Marshal Makes His Report" is a different book (published in 1991). It is definitely not the same book as "The Monster of Florence." I'm not sure where this confusion arose from, but rest assured that these are two different stories. The Monster of Florence - Rated Excellent book but buyers beware - according to the synopsis this book has also been published as 'The Marshall Makes His Report".

I have read all but one of Magdalen Nabb's books, and they are all excellent. Marshal Guarnaccia is a likable and sympathetic character.
