Customer Reviews

Enjoyable and thoughtful read - Rated 3/5
The book is set in 2051. Zoe is a subby; a subby is another word for someone who lives in the suburbs. On the other hand Daz is what they call a chippy. This is a story about two places being divided apart, and about Daz and Zoe's relationship

Daz and Zoe see each other in a club, not knowing who they were, they got together but will they stay together? This book made me think about the segregation of the social classes. An enjoyable and thoughtful read

A bit naff - Rated 2/5
A fine enough book for teenagers, as the class divide theme is interesting and the love story is well enough written to sustain the book. However, I think this book is trying too hard to be "political" The Romeo and Juliet plot and the historical allegory is too simplistic. And Daz' slang writing just annoys me.

If you want a politically aware teenage novel that incorporates a sweet love story, then read the far superior "Brother in the Land", by the same author.

Absolutely Brilliant!!! - Rated 5/5
I loved this book when I read it in my third year at High School, and I still love it seven years later. I highly recommend this book!!

Daz 4 Zoe - Rated 5/5
I read this book at school for English..At first i thought it was just another broing book but reading it made me think different...Its one of ..if not..the best book I have ever read. A tale of two teenagers falling in love and doing everything in their strength to stay together..no matter the hurt and upset caused. Its a story of true love and determination. Its a great book and i could really relate to it as ive been in a simila situation. A great teenage romance..but it also has a true hidden meaning. A must read!!
