FAB!!! - Rated 5/5
Loved this book, so have all my family. I think Kevin's books are brill, read Frankie too, but did not enjoy as much as this one, but I would recommend it too.

A promising but somewhat hollow debut - Rated 3/5
I read Frankie before reading Kaitlyn and I'm impressed with the improvement in Kevin Lewis' style of writing. Kaitlyn has the potential to be a thrilling novel, but Lewis' clumsy phrasing and rushed storylines spoil it somewhat. I found none of this with Frankie.

The style of writing makes the story of a girl who goes from the slums of a south London council estate to being the richest drugs baron in the UK, seem far fetched as it is lacking in description or any emotional insight into how she is feeling, apart from her quest to find her brother. It is very obviously a man writing as a woman and not very convincingly.

With Kaitlyn, there is always a feeling that he has simply lifted dialogue from other books and TV shows and this sells the story short somewhat. However given his massive leap forward with Frankie, I think if Lewis re-wrote Kaitlyn in five years time, it would have the potential to be one of the biggest blockbusters ever.

Kaitlyn - by Kevin Lewis - Rated 5/5
Having read about Kevin's childhood I just had to read this novel and wow can this guy write!! What a read and I cannot wait until Charlie is out next year (too long to wait as far as I am concerned). Well done Kevin.

A fantastic book - Rated 5/5
I read "The Kid" then "Moving on" (both absolutly fantastic books!)and was compeled to read more from Kevin Lewis. I had this book on order before it was on sale. From the moment I recived my copy I could not put it down. Totaly absorbing.
I then lent it to a family member who had also alredy read "The Kid" and "Moving On" (who is a pensioner) and she has since read it not once but twice!!!!
Its a must read!! x

Wow what a read - Rated 5/5
I was given this book as a birthday present - this is the best present ever. It had me gripped right from the first page. The story was captivating and took me into the world of Kaitlyn. If you love Martina Coles books - you will love this one too.
