Customer Reviews

First time I was able to guess the killer - Rated 4/5
Now, the book was entertaining, but I cannot give it 5 stars because I was able to guess who the killer was (and be right). That being my first time. The reason for my being able to guess it, may be that I have read a lot of thrillers before (Mark Billingham being my favourite).

What "The Missing" are getting four stars for, is the characters, and being a page turner. Good entertainment.

The Missing - Rated 5/5
Have never read any of his books before, and was very impressed, would recommend to anyone who likes thrillers.

Riveting! - Rated 5/5
The Missing had me hooked from start to finish! The storyline, of the police & FBI searching for a serial killer, who had been abducting women for years, never flagged, or got monotonous, at any stage in the book. This is not always the case with books of this genre. It did not get too bogged down in technical detail, either. The pace is quite relentless, with something incident/discovery cropping up, at the end of almost every chapter, making you want to read on further.

I felt the characters were quite believeable, also, from the police to the nasty serial killer. This book was defintely worth the read.

I couldn't put this down! - Rated 5/5
I hadn't heard of Chris Mooney, so when my mother gave me this book I wasn't too bothered about reading it. I'm pleased I did, I couldn't put it down, I almost read the back page to see if I had sussed it out! It wasn't hard to get into, I could put it down and then pick it back up without having to re-read the last couple of pages! Worth giving it a try if you have nothing to read, you might be pleasantly surprised!

good book - Rated 3/5
i realy enjoyed reading this book and the only reason i gave it a 3 out of 5 and not more was because i thought the story was to much of a copy of the film 'kiss the girls' but it was still a good book,i especialy liked yhe twist's at the end i wasnt expecting them.
