He thinks her a witch, (and so does she because she says she has got some power to tell secrets, that would make your hair stand straight up on end and your eyes pop out of their sockets, which made George want to run away) and he wants to get his revenge. It's nearly time to give granny her medicine but this time George doesn't give her the proper one but his own marvellous medication...
This book is funny, exciting and a bit frightening with a brilliant twist or two. Another of Roald Dahl's modern classic and a brilliant read all children and adults alike. Criticism: I didn't really like the idea of grandma shrinking into absolutely nothing. Instead, I think she should have shrunk to the size of a doll and she was given to a little girl as a present. Then, it would have been more amusing and rather thrilling so the book would finish of really well. Rating: 8/ 10.

the funnyest part is when george turned a normal chicken in to masive chicken bigger than a house can you belive that . In the grandmothers eyes george can not do nothing right and that is sad isn`t it is it not

We thought that the book was really good.
If you read it you will burst out laughing!
We had lots of favourite parts...
- When the cockerel flew up in the air!
- When the Granny broke through the roof!
- When George made his marvellous medicine!
- When the Granny shrunk and disappeared!
- When the Granny was on fire and shouted 'Up I go!'
We loved the pictures in the book because they were really funny.

If you want comedy, tension and drama then read Georges Marvellous Medicine.The book has the best characters ever. It will keep you laughing all the way.
The story is set in George's house. George creates a medicine to annoy granny, but ends up nearly making the whole farm enormous.
I think the author's use of words is brilliant and his style is excellent, especially when he described Granny's face as a dog's bottom! I would recomened it to my friends and my cousins all over the world.

I remember my first year of primary school, my teacher read the class this book. After that i was hooked i went out and got my parents to buy me the book as soon as my teacher read the last few pages! Now being 17 im still fascinated at how thrilling and outrageous the book is but everytime i read it, it has me hooked till the last page. i recommend this book to any adult that has children or just to the adults themselves!
