A Magical Book - Rated 5/5
A wondrous story with a happy ending. Ruskin starts the story a lame person with no friends and ends it as a hero. I would give it five stars because Philip Ridley keeps you interested. You really want Ruskin to be a hero - just like Spider Man.

Big Monster - Small hero. - Rated 5/5
This is the best book I have ever read. It is about a little boy called Ruskin who wants to be a hero, but he's too short and skinny so everyone laughs. There is a giant, huge, enourmous crocodile in the sewers who got big by eating toast. He is called Krindlekrax. Ruskin finds out all about Krindlekrax and then .... well, you'll have to find out by reading the book.
REALLY GREAT!

It is very witty, catchy, funny and extrodary. - Rated 4/5
Kindlekrax is a crocodilewho lives in the sewers who is always eating beans on toast, and Elvis the big bully teases Ruskin at school.
Ruskin Splinter,Elvis Cave,Dr Flowers,Wendy Splinter,Mr and Mrs Cave,Mr Lace,Corkey,Sparkey,Mr Flick,Krindlekrax,Winston Splinter,Mrs Walnut.Ruskin-he has fuzzy red hair, very small, and glasses like saucers. He wore black shorts which showes off his nobberly knees, he wore black boots and his arms looked like twigs.Elvis-he is very fat and looks like an American Footballer. He always is bouncing a ball and smashing all the windows in Lizard Street.Krindlekrax- he looks like a crocodile with scaley skin and his breath smells of gooey stuff for he lives in the sewers. The setting was very realistic because of the way the author wrote it was fantastic. The best description I think in the sewers. The story line was very good and has a very good plot. The actual story line was extremely good because he used adjectives and made the story very exciting. He was very successful not any bad language and he is funny with his writing. He makes very good use of words. He makes you want to read on and on.His style was absolutely amazing. He used atalics in funny speech and he thought hard about it because he wrote it in great detail so I could read it very clearly. There was no bad lanuage or anything like that,so small children could read it.The descriptions of all the characters was amazing I could imagne all of them.

witty ,comic and very funny - Rated 4/5
Ruskin has fuzzy hair, knobboly knees is very small and thin with a voice like a mouses whisper and no-one likes him at school. So when he wants to be the school hero every one laughs at him! But Corky ,the old man who sweeps the playground belives him and tells him the story of Krindlekrax. So when Corky is killed by Krindlekrax Ruskin is determined to find and tame the fiend from the sewers. The characters are mainly Ruskin ,his mum and dad and Elvis with Sparky Walnut but there are many more!

The story was very good but when Wnston kept saying "It wasn't me!" it got a bit boring and silly. The author was very good with using descriptive words but he could of described the characters faces a little bit more. Over all the story was very good and I really liked it .Iwould give this book 9 out of 10.

weak boy tackels dragon - Rated 5/5
Krindlekrax is all about a boy who struggles to be a hero. But there's two things standing in his way to becoming superman. A big bully and a monster. Trust me on this one Krindlekrax really does make you crack up. And Lizard Street is a normal street with it's scorched bricks and bumps in the road. But I wonder who could of done that. Could it have been the monster?..............
