A great story for those who love the tale of the three bears - Rated Having worn out the library copy, I decided it's time to treat my children to their own. This is a lovely gentle story about the three bears going to choose a replacement chair for the one Goldilocks broke. Baby bear packs his rucksack with a few accessories from his dressing-up box and the family set off for the chair shop. Like every small child, baby bear is fickle and on the way, as he plays at being a pirate and a king, he has numerous thoughts about the sort of chair he might like. The choice in the chair shop is vast, and my children (2&4) spend some time on this page allocating different chairs to different friends and family members, but none is just right for baby bear. They head home empty-handed but when they get home there's a surprise waiting for them. The pictures are lovely and appealing with the added bonus of two little mice appear to be spotted throughout.
