Great! - Rated
I read this book in less than a day because I could not put it down. It makes you frustrated how Connie will not listen to anyone but also how no one will listen to her point of view. I'm not going to give away the end but let's just say that I would love to be Connie at the end of the book.

COOL! =( to bad it's over! - Rated
I have enjoyed immensely following Connie and the rest of the characters within the Society of Protection Of Mythical Creatures as they fight for the survival of mythical creatures and humans alike as they fight the evil shapeshifter Kullervero! I L.O.V.E.D all of the books and this was no excepsion, though the ending left me wanting more. It didn't feel like an ending, she could have easily have done more from that! I don't like cliff hangers with no follow through!
Thrilling End - Rated
The Companion Series has told the reader all about the events of Connie's life, this one being no different. As the series finale, it helps that this is the best book yet out of the four. Readers of the series will find that the ending isn't as obvious as the last three. Julia Golding has managed to finish off the Series with a book that holds you from start to finish, with no negitivities as far as i can see. I would, however, advise that people who haven't read the series might wish to do just that, it helps if you undertand the characters better.
loved it!!!!!!!!!! - Rated
Julia Golding is a marvelous author and has written lots of brilliant books, but this one is my fovourites. it is the end of a series called "Companions Quartret". All of her books are the best i've read in ages. this ones my favourite because all the things i wanted to happen happened, but i can't say what these things are because without ruining the book but i'll say this much, id give it 9,000,000,000,000,001 stars out of 5!!!!!!!!

Cursed and blessed - Rated
At the end of July the world went doolally when the final Harry Potter book came out. A month later, The Chimera's Curse was published to no fanfare at all. But I'm sure I'm not alone in having enjoyed this fantasy adventure series about magical powers just as much as the one about the boy wizard. This series is always going to compared with HP - the similarities are many but to me, the idea of a Society for the Protection of Mythical Creatures is more exciting than a school for wizards.
The plot is much tighter and the conclusion far more satisfying than that of HPATDH. Kullervo is more of a real threat than Voldemort ever is. Even the jacket illustration is infinitely better.
