Excellent - Rated Not the most up to date book, but its the best book on the magazine pblishing industry I've come across so far - by far! Wholistic, well written and well informed. If you want to get more than a good overview into the industry, with a possible desire to get far, this is a must have. Well balanced and written by those who have actual experiene in magazine publishing makes this a one to one with experts and practitioners and not just professors. I have purchased "How to Start a Magazine" by Kobak, that is a good book, but its not going to get you far. This is a must have if you are heading on the road that will take you far. The book covers many aspects of publishing such as printing, the role of an editor, circulation, advertising sales and the actual business of publishing. D Thomas. London, England. July 2008.

Not the most up to date book, but its the best book on the magazine pblishing industry I've come across so far - by far!

Wholistic, well written and well informed.

If you want to get more than a good overview into the industry, with a possible desire to get far, this is a must have.

Well balanced and written by those who have actual experiene in magazine publishing makes this a one to one with experts and practitioners and not just professors. I have purchased "How to Start a Magazine" by Kobak, that is a good book, but its not going to get you far. This is a must have if you are heading on the road that will take you far.
