This book is an inspirational guide about how to be a great coach. Julie has very clearly described how to successfully manage a coaching relationship, but almost more importantly she also shows you how to get a better understanding of yourself so that you can be the best coach for your clients. A fantastic handbook that i'm referring to daily.

A comprehensive, deceptively simple explanation of the principles underpinning coaching and some of the skills required to be a good coach. I have used this as an introduction to the coaching process but it will remain on my bookshelf as one to "dip in and out of" as I continue to develop.

Julie's ability to convey the real heart of coaching conversation is inspiring. The book provides understanding of skills, processes, examples, insightful questioning etc etc but most of all it has shone a light of my coaching journey.Excellent.

A very impressive manual. Julie has a real gift for imparting knowledge in an easily absorbed manner. Of the coaching books I have seen, the vast majority are what I would call stuffy and tedious to wade through, but from the first page of this manual the words captured my imagination and made me want to read more.
It is brilliant, the whole format is so clear and easy to read and understand. It is an excellent book not only for those already coaching, but particularly for those just starting out as coaches. It is also a great book to help people with their own personal development even if they have no desire to work with others.

Being reasonably new to coaching this to me is seen as the ultimate reference book. Julie has managed to explain all the fundamentals required to coach, whilst still keeping the base of making it an 'easy read'. There are a couple of extra chapters on her original Coaching Manual, which l have also read, and the way she has structured her chapters, and offered numerous practical exercises, has allowed me increase my self-awareness on what l already know. Great work!
