Disappointing - Rated
I came across this book whilst buying another book on Amazon and bought it purely on the basis of the glowing four and five star reviews. I have to say that it did not take me more than a few pages to wonder if I was reading the same book as the reviewers. My thought at the time was that this guy must have got his buddies to do the recommendations. Personally I found the book disappointing. Perhaps that is because I felt it taught me very little.
What was notable in the book though was the sheer number of blank pages. After finishing the book (in under an hour - that is all it takes) I thought I'd go back and actually count the blank pages as I've never seen so many in a single book - other than in an artist's sketchbook! I counted 68 pages being blank out of 220 pages. 31% of this entire book is blank pages. What's all that about? We're supposed to be saving the planet! Add to that there is a load of multiple choice pages which you actually have to fill in yourself and again which add very little.
If you are a college leaver then I'd say go ahead and buy this book. It can probably teach you something. However, if you are an experienced worker then I'd be surprised if it could teach you much.
As for star rating, I might have given it 2 or 3 but I feel I really have to balance things up here as the current rating is way way over generous.
By the way, the other book I bought was Gerald Ratner's autobiography, The Rise and Fall.... That was a really cracking read and deserves five stars for educational and entertainment value. One of the best business books I have read in a long time.

loved it!!!!!!!!! I recommended it to all my friends and family's members. The writing is flawless and it is writing in a way that any kind of readers can appreciate it. Your book was for me a revelation as it enables me for the first time to go to conferences without knowing anyone and feel comfortable to talk to people. In the past, I only went to conferences or registered to societies with friends. So many thanks for the book!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All you need to know about networking - Rated
The ability to network is a very important business skill. To some people networking comes naturally, for others it is a skill they somehow have to acquire and it can take a lot of effort and perseverance. This book is excellent in that it not only aids the natural networkers but also those who require an extra boost to get them going.
Another brilliant book in the 'brilliant' series. - Rated
Excellent book in this solid series. Covers all the networking basics plus extras you wouldn't think of. Very handy in job hunting/career development. In terms of careers books I'd rate it as one of the best along with "What Colour is Your Parachute?" "Brilliant CV" "Brilliant Interview" and "How to Handle Your Recruitment Consultant".
