This book deserves its 5 stars,however it is very sad to read and not for every one it is very explicit but the Author needs to convey what really happened i have read many books but this one really shocked me, to think how one person could treat another human being in this way is apalling. If this book helps other abused women or men to find help then the Author has done her job well

I wasn`t impressed in the slightest with this book and skipped a number of pages. I`m not sure what it was,but for some reason i couldn`t `take to` the writer. The beginning tells us of her childhood,which was mostly insignificant,and gave no insight as to what sort of person anybody actually was, or where they all lived. There was far, far too much sexual detail later on,after the marriage,which took it from abuse to sheer pornography. I also got a little tired of hearing about Nikola`s big breasts..tiny waist...beautiful face..gorgeous figure..how pertty she was..how lovely her hair was etc etc. I`m not sure what Nikola`s idea of abuse is, but i don`t imagine it would cause you to have an orgasm while being brutally raped `up the arse.` Sorry Nikola, but what was going on in your head while you were having sex with another man just after getting married and being `abused and beaten` by your husband..? A definate thumbs down from me for your book Nikola - and i don`t think you are in any position to be giving out advice to other women - as you really do not come across as having totally come to terms with what your life has actually all been about.

I can't believe how much this woman has lived through it's shocking.
As soon as you start to read this book you won't put it down even when things get bad.
She writes her life in this book so well it almost feels like your fighting the losing battle with her.
TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

I bought this book as soon as it came out and read it in under 3 hours. I couldn't believe how someone's body could endure all this poor girl's did. I have read several books in the past on this subject but this one moved and shocked me very deeply - more than all the rest. I was really appalled by the sexual violence and degrading force of it all. I wish you all the luck Nikola - you definitely deserve it and thanks for sharing your story with us.

This is a very well written book of child abuse and the domestic abuse that came later on in life. Its a book for all types of people which helps open the eyes to the reality of how parenting and the environment around a child can affect them later on in life. Its deeply harrowing and at the same time evidence of the resilience of the human spirit. A very good read.
