Customer Reviews

Astounding - Rated 5/5
Please please ignore the negative bleatings from the institutionalised Christian reviewers you've already read! You need to approach these books with an open mind that they clearly do not have. If you do, you'll be challenged and mindblown at the same time. This book began a process that changed my entire life! I hate religious dogma and so does God, it seems! Read all the 'Conversation with God' books and see for yourself that he/she (God) is alive and DOES care about our struggles and DOES want to help us back on the right track in a modern and refreshingly helpful way. If you can't see that when you read these books, then you're part of the reason why this world is in such a sad and sorry state...

Really a revelation - Rated 4/5
Another excellent book in the series - although it can also stand alone - giving us an idea of a way forward out of the mire of retribution attacks and the downward spiral of morale in the world of today. There are some truly startlingly intuitive revelations (where you really think to yourself "I knew that - but I wouldn't have known that I did if I hadn't read it here!") and a lot of good stuff to think about.

Some of it takes quite a bit of courage to accept, and some is going to take a lot of courage to live. And, of course, knowing our politicians, none of it will ever be expressed in policy. But we can always push...

I have marked this down by one star because Mr Walsch's style and comments in the book often really irritated me and got in the way of God's answers. I wish I could hear him as clearly as Neale does, then I wouldn't have to go via his books!! The fundamentals, statmements and theories still resonate strongly with me, so I still read him.

Conversations with God - Rated 5/5
Do you believe everyhing you are told, are you been spoon fed your believes because its easier than to question, then this is not the book for you.
This book was read to me by a man dying of self persecution, HIV positive with a history of addiction. He clutched the book as if he had found the holy grail. Finally, a book that does not persecute him personally, actually it only points the finger at those who have misinterpreted God's Word, and that is ...........lets face it ......everyone in our past. Hopefully this book gives a person the abiltiy to look at what has been told to them as children but be able to question their parents with an adult's voice

The series is not for disciples of Jesus - Rated 1/5
I have only read the first book in the "Conversation" series. If you are a disciple of Jesus and is filled with the Holy Spirit, then I do not recommend these books. Walsch will not lead you to Christ.

The most contemporary of the masterful CWG series - Rated 5/5
Several years and several best-selling books after their first conversation, God and Neale Donald Walsch are still at it. And I for one still benefit hugely from the SANITY AND CLARITY of this writing, especially after September 11th.

After so many books in the Conversations With God series, thoughts of "re-hash for a bit more money in the bank" almost inevitably cross one's mind, but this is inappropriate and unnecessarily cynical. Yes, I am a big big fan of all the books and am therefore completely biased in their favour!

In The New Revelations the dialogue with God revolves around the crisis of humanity on Earth today, with the underlying main theme being that a spiritual crisis is the fundamental cause of our individual and collective problems. God and Neale suggest that our deepest beliefs must be changed before our behaviour can change. Organized religion takes a bit of a hammering here, although as always in the CWG books there is an embracing of the best of traditional religion while suggesting some fundamental shifts that need to be made if humanity is to survive and prosper.

Virtually all the Big Religious Books (Bible, Qur'an etc.) are quoted to demonstrate how man has created God in his own image, a creation which is then used to justify condemning or killing others who hold different beliefs to one's own.
