Disappointing - Rated
This started off well and I was really enjoying it but then about 2/3 of the way in I began to lose interest as the story went a bit flat. There were times too, when I wasn't sure if I was meant to like the main character or not. It didn't seem to have the wit of the earlier books and I won't rush to read Chris Manby next one as the last few have been disappointing.

Congratulations to Chris Manby. I feared this author had the " lost the plot" somewhere along the road of the former novels, but true to form, this one is bang up to date and I cannot recommend it enough to any former addicts of this author who have given up somewhat! WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!! A neat book with a unforseen, but rewarding ending!!!Alls well that ends well and in the final few pages, all seems lost until a final twist reveals that revenge is sweet and just!!!!!!

Emily runs her own Beauty salon, The Beauty Spot, with the help of Chloe. Carina is the newest talent-free celebrity around, famous for her stint in a reality show. Matt, the financial adviser and his dog cesar are regular visitors of the beauty spot, does Matt's liking for being well groomed mean he is gay or is there other reasons he visits so often? The new girl in the salon is Natalie, who is a bit on the unkempt side, is she all she seems?
Although the story was interesting and fairly fast paced this wasn't one of my favourite Chris Manby books,

I found this book a bit different from her other books. It was a good read, but I prefer some of her earlier books.
