Elgar made Interesting - Rated This is a great little book, released in 2007 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Elgar's birth. Just like the other books in the `Classic FM Friendly guide to' series this is so easy to read and full of interesting pieces of information. The authors Tim Lihoreau and Darren Henley (both of Classic FM) are clearly keen to present the facts in a user-friendly way, and have succeeded in making this a thoroughly readable book. The paper and binding are a little on the budget side, but it is a great introduction to Elgar and of course it comes with a free CD of the composers `Greatest Hits', so it's good value for money. A nice little book, easy to pick up and read during those spare five minutes.

This is a great little book, released in 2007 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Elgar's birth.
