This book is about families leaving earth forever because earth is being destroyed. They can only bring a few things such as: one book,two personal items and so on.... Many people made a bad decision on what book to bring. Pattie, a girl on the ship, chose a blank paged book. Because nobody chose a fairy tale book,people forgot how they went,so people couldn't tell stories either. It took four years to get to the new planet,Shine. When they first got to Shine, there was a low amout of food. At the end of the book Pattie's book becomes use-ful.

I rate this book ***** five stars because it is about the future, and I like books that try to tell us our possible future. Also I like sci-fi, exciting, and adventurous books a whole lot. The grass on the new planet was like glass it could cut yes cut you!!! There are moth people if you want to find out about them or you are a sci-fi lover ya gotta read this book!

It was a great book and they ended it softly not abruptly. - Rated
In the book they speak of more than one person as telling the tale. The children instead of the grown ups discover many things. Sarah is my favorite carachter. This book is amazing.
