Good Clear instructions - Rated
It tells you clear step by step instructions and has 50 names too work with as the bases of the spells. It would be better if its hard back but I dont think it is really worth it as it is quite a small book. None the less it gives you a quick start to cerimonial magick...
a powerful workbook for students of Necronomicon material - Rated
First things first... yes, the Necronomicon was most probably a fiction created by the horror writer HP Lovecraft.... and yes, there is also anecdotal evidence that Lovecraft was exposed to some very interesting ocult lore... and yes, there are serious people who've been working with Necronomicon material for many years (check out Kenneth Grant or Nema)... But is is it "real"? ....Only a non-magician would ask such a question! This magical system, rooted in both ancient mythology and modern speculative fiction, has as much validity as any other religion born out of humanity's attempt to come to grips with the Unknown and Alien. True, the system is potentially very "powerful," even uncontrollable (as compared to say, teenybopper witchcraft books in the vein of Sabrina). However, a powerful system does not necessarily make a powerful practitioner; if you have no great store of personal power or profound magical experience, this book will not give it to you and will probably hurt you.... But for serious practitioners, when all is said and done, this book is a great addition to the modern Necronomicon system!
Little but...size does not count - Rated
I've been practicing magic(k) for the past eleven years and must confess that this little book came to me as a coincidence (?); while the Necronomicon itself is a fake grimoire, over the years it has accumulated so much energy that by just drawing the sigils and conjuring the spells one can feel that something happens, This book is not for the beginner; one has to have a background in Ceremonial Magick (you're dealing with "entities" here) as the book does not mention casting the circle, the banning of evil energies and so on. Wiccans, if you're an eclectic witch, go for it, you'll find interesting, otherwise, keep away from it. As it recalls some Sumerian demons names you may like to study Sumerian beliefs before you start.
Very Long-Winded, but graphic of instructions. - Rated
As a person that is learning and studying Witchcraft, I bought this book out of curiosity. The instructions are easy (if you have a VERY good memory) but they are a little long winded. There is a little something for everything in here and I found it most interesting, it is worth the measly amount of money on the pricetag, in my opinion, it should be valued a bit higher than it is. If it was in hard-back instead of paper, that would be an added bonus as paperbacks tend to warp. If you are in the field of study (Witchcraft/Sorcery) I do think this should be on your list of books to purchase.
Watch yourself - Rated
Ok, all of you who say it's fiction are playing with someting you can never understand. After reading this book I had my first fight with a demon. If you are experienced with Sumerian magick then read it otherwise Please Please keep your distance.
