My daughter (17months) really adores this book! There's something so appealing about the lift-the-flap concept and the excitement of what you might find! She particularly likes it because her big sister is called Ella, but I am certain she would love it anyway! The design of the book means it is robust enough to cope with many, many, many sessions of lifting the flaps and seeing who's underneath! A really lovely book; ideal for bedtime....

I can only speak for my son who wants to read this book time and time again! He calls it the night, night book and loves turning the board pages and opening the flaps to reveal the animals! He has learnt a few new words for this book too. The book is the perfect size for toddlers to hold, with sturdy board pages, interesting illustrations and a perfect wind down for evening time.

I was sooo shocked to see the one star reviews for this book - clearly written by individuals who have never read this book (or any other of the Contented Baby books for that matter) and are just biased against Gina Ford. It makes me really sad that some individuals feel the need to demonise Gina and the parents that choose to follow her routines.
The "Ella and Tom" books are perfect for babies and toddlers, not just those with a routine! Gorgeous pictures, and simple stories. I'm a big fan and so is my 15 month old son.

This is a wonderful book full of lovely images and good textures, my son is 18 months old and now interacts with this book at every available opportunity. A great pre bedtime Book
