Finding Tiddler - Rated
A big hit with my 3 year old who is a huge 'Nemo' fan. The story is spookily similar in many ways to the plot of the Disney film. Great illustrations as usual by Axel S and fun rhymes to recite and repeat by Julia Donaldson.
Fantastic book - Rated
This book is absolutely brilliant. Even our daugther who is only four month old loves looking at the pictures and will happily listen to the whole book in one go. She keeps touching the pictures and follows our finges when we point things out to her.
I would recommend this book to every parent as it makes storytime with your little one loads of fun.
Yes, Miss Skate! - Rated
Tiddler is wonderful... my daughter (who is 3) is always happy to hear this lovely tale of a small fish with a big imagination. She loves saying "yes, miss skate" and pointing out the Gruffalo fish that appears half way through! Combined with a squash and a squeeze and charlie cooks favourite book, reading at bedtime is just as enjoyable for me as it is for her
Excellent - Again! - Rated
Donaldson and Scheffer are as sure a guarantee of quality as there is in Childrens literature.
The drawings are as ever, bright, vibrant and packed with little details that pre-schoolers love (mine was absolutely thrilled to discover a 'gruffalo fish' amongst the illustrations!). It is the words though, as ever, that enchant.
With a perhaps slightly more complex 'flow' than other D&S books, it took me a couple of goes to really find the right rhythm, but once I'd found it, the sheer joy of reading was almost overwhelming. As the appointed bed-time reader in our house, I can honestly say Tiddler is the new all-time favourite of children and adult alike. An absolute joy.
Very Good (but its no 'Gruffalo') - Rated
All of Julia Donaldson's childrens books are a cut above the rest of childrens story books - so i can recommend all of them (especially the Gruffalo and the snail on thw whale). so i have no doubt that this will be a book to enjoy for both parent and child! the illustartions are beautiful - and the book just makes you smile! a lovely bed time book (just dont expect it to be as amazing as the Gruffalo).
