Gets kids interested in history - Rated
My 9 year old devoured this and the 2007 Annual last year within days of receiving them both (and he's a bit of a reticent reader). Even tho some of the stories are pretty grim, it's real history, and my son loved reading and reading and reading about everything. And when he could quote us back the facts (even if his objective was to make us cringe), we knew he'd actually been learning something along the way.
Wicked book! - Rated
Definately one of the most discusting books in the world! This grusome book was shown to us by Terry. Do not read this book before you are about to eat! It may be discusting but it is one of the most facinating books about world history. You should buy this book, it will make your life more exiting!

If you have read the regular `Horrible History' series of books, you will be aware of the way in which TERRY DEARY puts knowledge across, in a humorous way. This book is no exception.
`Ever since the first `Horrible Histories' (HH) book appeared they have been used for all sorts of things....
To prove history teachers wrong
To pester parents with endless questions and quizzes
To disgust Grannies with foul facts at the tea table
(HH books have also been used to prop up wobbly tables, block draughts under doors and been torn up for toilet paper - but we won't go into that!)
Delightfully illustrated, throughout, in colour, by Martin Brown.
