This is a fantastic book, living up to the Heartland expectations...I'm 14 and think these books are fantastic, but a nine year old wouldn't find this good reading at all. Perhaps 12-15 would be ...suitable

A fantastic book, All her life, Amy flemming has thought her father betrayed her by running away from her mother, sister and herself. Even though, 5 years later, he wrote a letter asking her mother, Marion, who was killed in an accident trying to rescue a stolen, and abandoned stallion in the first book. Her mother never told her about the letter, and Amy thinks she's managing fine without any parents, just her grandpa, sister and TY, heartlands stable hand, but a great friend to Amy and a natural with the horses. Amy throws herself into caring for the hortses at heartland. She always uses trust to build a relationship, never fear, and uses alternative methods, and the Equus technique, as founded by Monty Roberts.
Lou, Amy's sister is determinded to have Tim, their father back at Heartland, Any agrees to keep her happy, but when Tim arrives at Heartland, Amy realizes, she has already lost 1 parent, does she really want to loose another?
