Not quite as expected - Rated The title of this book is a little misleading, the "How to Do It" in the title suggests this is an instruction manual but there are only two pages of very basic instructions. The rest of the book is made up of black and white charts of patterns for loom and applique work. The patterns are traditional American Indian and a little potted history of the tribes represented would have been interesting but that is a minor niggle. Not all the charts are illustrated in colour and a complete beginner to beadwork may find it a little confusing. So as a beginners guide to beadwork there are better books on the market but as a resource book for intermediate beaders or for use side by side with a more comprehensive teaching manual it is an excellent little book.
