is it time for satan yet?... - Rated
Read the first 15 chapters...development of the plot slow. Fleming is task to do 2 things now saving his brother Rob and also trying to help Amber getting over the twin thingy. Not so much religious tie-in to the main story yet. But I am sure things will get togather. Fleming will have more to go after...next.
Just finish this book. Story about a plot to destroy the world with the belief there is no God but Satan. Flaming and Amber have to fight evil to destroy the biggest and most powerful Computer (Optical) in the world and make the world back the way it should be. A world was at a stand still just when it was taken over by evil master 'Bradley' who claimed he was the 2nd son of god. So its a fight between the black and the white in a place far north, Alaska.
I think the ending is abit rushing as i read the book. MC was trying to put every bit in the place towards the last 5 chapters of the book. If he could write abit more he could for this book. But well after all is a great book with good twist fo hero to appear victory, thats Fleming. Great combination of science and religion building the chapters. I give it a 6.8/10...not as good as Messiah Code.
Thought provoking story with engaging characters... - Rated
I found 'The Lucifer Code' to be a thought provoking story with engaging characters. Some of the premises in it might have been a little cliche, but that didn't bother me. I must have thoroughly enjoyed the book because I read it all in one day! This was the first time I'd read a novel by Michael Cordy and I sincerely look forward to reading another of his in the very near future.
Poor low-end Thriller - Rated
The basic idea for the story was good but just seemed poorly written, like a hollywood blockbuster with no real substance. Plus early on there was an error in the naming of the Red Arks webpage, it was something like www.redark/churchofthesoultruth.com and anyone who knows anything about the net knows that a website would never appear like that. It might have been a small error but it put me off, as it proves he has little knowledge of what hes talking about and made the rest all seem way too fanciful.
Good to read on the train - Rated
Let's say that some of the fundamental ideas in this book are interesting and could be thought-provoking. I've been reading it on the train for 10 days now and don't want to put it down but.....
.....yes some of the lead-ins to the "surprises" and "twists" are not subtle and not kept from the reader for long enough (perhaps, in my opinion).
.....I have not actually finished the book yet but I had an definite idea of what was going to happen.
.....there are still some surprises and twists that I could not see coming from a mile off..!
.....it's been an enjoyable and easy read - I do consider this good as distractions on the train are frequent.
I'd give it a 7/10 and have thought a few times that, with a good screenwriter, it could make a good movie. I do also hope that when this book is finished (probably on my journey tomorrow), the book I pick up is equally enjoyable. Heck, it's inspired me to write my first Amazon review so it has made a mark...!
Opens up your mind - Rated
I recommend this book, but I fear that in describing it I will give to much away.
It is, in fact, a book revolving around the creation of a new branch of religion and their evil deads, and the finding of the existence of the human soul...
This book is gripping to no end, and will have you sitting in your seat until the last page is read. It will have your jaw dropping.
Highly recommended for its intelligent storyline and Cordy's excellent style of writing.
