simple cooking simply put - Rated a range of recipes some of which you will have seen before. I think the strength of this book is that it is so small (i.e. there's not hundreds of recipes) and so all it contains are dishes you'd actually want to cook and, possibly more importantly, those you can cook. Unlike other cook books, Aldo doesnt just show you the finished product and give you instructions on how to get there, he also gives you photographs of what the dish should look like at various stages so this gives you some condfidcence that what you are doing is right. If you've never cooked Italian before (and I have) then this is a good book to get you started - a book full of simple cooking, simply put !
