A Good Introduction - Rated This is a good intro to Vegas for those who are going for the first time. There's not much depth about any particular subject but it covers the highspots that will be of interest to the first time UK visitor. As many UK tourists combine Vegas with a jaunt to California (San Francisco/Los Angeles) there is a section in the book devoted to this. I agree that for more in depth info and a less starry eyed view the Unofficial Guide is excellent (I'm on my second edition). Don't Bother - Rated I didn't really rate this as a guide to Las Vegas. It seemed to describe everything as 'fantastic!' or 'stunning!' and reminded me of marketing material as opposed to an objective view of the hotels/casinos and attractions in the area. Also, strangely, it included a large section on California and a map of Disneyland. I read through the brit's guide once and then relied on the Unofficial Guide, edited by Bob Sehlinger which was objective and much more informative. Oh, just to add, the money off vouchers in the book are a bit of a awizz. The voucher for the Hard Rock expired in 2001, whilst the vouchers for the Desert Passage and Fashion Show Mall are for free shopping guides - which you can pick up free anyway. The website references are fantastic and allow you to investigate further. The 'Brit Tips' in the book are topical and as the book is updated yearly you know that the information is current. A great guide and I will definately be using the money off coupons at the back on my next visit to Las Vegas.

I didn't really rate this as a guide to Las Vegas. A Brit's Guide to Las Vegas - Rated 5/5
Having been to Las Vegas last year I still found this book extremely interesting and an excellent guide to the city and its attractions. The website references are fantastic and allow you to investigate further. The 'Brit Tips' in the book are topical and as the book is updated yearly you know that the information is current. A great guide and I will definately be using the money off coupons at the back on my next visit to Las Vegas.
