John Keats - York Notes Advanced - Rated 5/5
This help book is great for anyone studying John Keats at A level. I found his poetry quite hard to understand at first, but this book is great for explaining every poem in detail. Also it has lots of tips on the rhythm of the poems, which the examiners like! It also shows the main themes of the poems, and gives a historical and literally background of Keats and his poetry. It's an excellent book if you want a top grade.

Good discussion on poetry - Rated 4/5
Each poem is summarised in detail to give you a good understanding of plot and meaning. Beside each poem are little boxes filled with website addresses, contextual ideas and trigger questions, all which help you to further the depth of your study on the poems. At the back of the book there are sections on imagery, the main themes and more importantly- the language. There is also a part of the book dedicated to critisism and his life with context to his poetry. Nothing has been left out of this book, its full of helpful tips, further notation on the poems and everything your teacher forgot! A great guide to take to your lessons!

A must for Students - Rated 5/5
This study guide is the best I have ever come across. I used it for A-level Enlish Literature, but i think it is more aimed at undergraduates. However, this makes it even more useful as the content of the book is at an advanced level, and gives the reader lots to learn and think about. It covers the most impotant Keats poems including 'Isabella: A Pot of Basil' both 'Hyperion[s]' 'Ode to a Nightingale' 'to Autumn' 'Lamia' 'Endymion' 'the Eve of St.Agnes' and a few others.

I've found with most study guides, that all is covered is the content of the poems, but this guide not only gives this, but also expains the sub-textual aspects of the poems in great detail, including criticms they have received through time. There is also a lot of explanation of the form of the poems (such as aliteration, rhyming scheme etc), language and themes. The glossary is also very useful.

I found some of book quite dense, and it definately needs a lot of attention to get the best out of it. I know teachers always say study guides shouldn't be used instead of proper learning in lessons, but i personally thought that this book contained almost double the amount of help and information about Keats than i got in my whole course at college.

I would very strongly recommend this to anyone studying Keats.

Well-worth the money, incredibly helpful and detailed account - Rated 5/5
This is an extremely helpful and detailed book, which analysizes many of Keats' work in a very detailed account. I would recommend anyone who is studying Keats to buy this book, as the easy to understand, yet descriptive and thorough guide is a must have!

A wonderful help to anyone studying John Keats' works - Rated 5/5
This book is wonderful for young people studying the not so easy to grasp works of John Keats. It explains the poems in great detail and gives a summary of literary devises used in each. Each poem is explained well and the story of each is told. It also has background information on John Keats and the themes he uses in his poems, which are essential for any essay or coursework writng. A great investment to anybody studying him, and a life saving help!
