People, It's a book! - Rated
Listen, I've not read this book, but that's not relevant now. I mean come on; COMPLAINING about the BSC's ages? Ann.M. Martin is a writer. Her books have to keep appealing to the same audience as she did before. Say you started reading them two years ago. And lets say that the first book you read was the first. and then you read the last. And there was an age difference of ten years. And they were still babysitting. And Mary- Anne and Logan were still going out. Wouldn't you be the teensiest bit confused?! I mean Harry Potter should be in his thirty's by the time the seventh book's published ifyou are really going to be pernickty. But no one cares. If you like a book, it shouldn't matter how unreal the situations are or how silly and vain the characters. If you like it READ it. I mean I actually write short stories and stuff and I've got a 16 year old's reading standerd. And the reason I am able to write good stories is because I've read an array of books. It gives you ideas of what appeals to different children. I'm only twelve, by the way. And if the Babysitters Club did age, I'd like to know how they got through Collage on a Babysitting wage. Or how they plan on getting through their lives. It wouldn't be the Babysitters club if they didn't babysit!

They try to make Shannon's life better, but after a while they make her life worse! One of the things Tiffany and maria do is putting spaggeti in her Backpack. To find out what else they do, READ THIS BOOK! I't is NOT at all stupid, like some people say it is!
It's getting old... - Rated
I have to agree with Spacecat...the Babysitters have been in 8th grade for about ten years now. Oooo-kay. I used to read these books all the time but lately they seem really preposterous.
I prefer CA diaries - Rated
Ann M. Martin seems to know a lot more about teenagers in California than she does in the BSC. Dances in the 8th grade are nothing like the BSC's. Also, Mary Anne and Logan have been going out for TEN YEARS NOW! And they've only broken up once. I used to be an avid BSC fan, but it got pretty stupid. Now I read the CA diaries and I love it. The early BSC books were great...but not really anymore I think.

I've read Kristy and the Sister War three times. It's great! When I first heard the title, I thought it would be about Kristy and HER sisters, Karen and Emily. But it wasn't at all. The BSC's friend, and alternate member Shannon is the one having the war! Shannon and her parents are really busy, so Kristy takes a steady sitting job for Shannon's two little sisters Maria and Tiffany. They try to help her out, by doing Shannon's homework and organizing her backpack and room. Kristy figures it's okay, but they end up making things worse instead of fixing things! Shannon gets really angry, and tells her sisters off. Now, instead of feeling sorry for their sister, Maria and Tiffany are feeling sorry for themselves. But that doesn't last long. Both sisters are now angry at Shannon and are going to make sure that she knows that. No more Mr. Nice Sisters. This is War!
