Pure resident evil kick ass class - Rated 5/5
After enjoying Caliban Cove, I couldn't wait to read the next resi book... City of the Dead.
However it is based on the game; Resident Evil 2, therefore I wasn't sure how this was going to be as the umbrella conspiracy was a bit boring after being based on a game.
Nonetheless, this book kept me interested and I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. One thing that contributed to the improvement was that S.D Perry has not included the boring key collecting bits, which let the first book down.
This is typical Stephani Perry class! It has her stylish descriptions that create atmosphere. The interpretation from game to book was excellent this time round as it involved the characters emotions and thoughts a lot more. Instead of making it seem like just a physical copy of a game, Perry has made it seem like an interpretation of a fast paced action movie, with creepy horror bits in all the right places. Perry has done a very good job here

resident evil: city of the dead - Rated 5/5
A Book Review on Resident Evil: City of the dead.
By S.D. Perry.
Hundreds of walking dead, monsters, creatures and more against a handfulof people trying to escape from Raccoon City.
Leon Kennedy is on his first night shift as a policeman, and ClareRedfield is the sister of the former S.T.A.R.S. member Chris Redfield.
The book is about these two people fighting for their lives in thissurvival horror story, and how they face there worst fears and beyond. The characters in this book are great. The hero's are Leon Kennedy andClare Redfield, and the villains are the zombies and the "Twisted Chief ofpolice Irons".
I really enjoyed this book; every page I turned always had somethingmaking me want to read on. This is the third and best book out of thefirst three I have read. It would be advisable that anyone who wants toread this particular book should read the previous ones first, otherwiseit might be a bit confusing.
Overall, I'd give this book 9/10; a real page turner!

SD Perry does it again!!! - Rated 5/5
After reading the first Resi novel i had to get this one. Fortunately it is much longer than any other Resi novel to date, so it lasted more than 2 days. The book is splendid until the climax, whereas Perry uses a lazy ending in my view, where, instead of using the explosive, exciting 'true' ending from the game, the train rolls happily on, the whole final battle lasts about a paragraph, which is a shame, though the rest of the book makes up for this, roll on book seven!

Resident Evil 3 : City Of The Dead - Rated 5/5
I recently had to choose a book for my English Study so I picked a book which interested me, this was it.
I had read the first 2 before I read this one and it is the best of the all the 6 Resident Evil Books, it will keep you wanting more from the Resident Evil world.
It is based on the 2nd Video game which is impressive in itself but the book really takes you indepts with the characters Leon and Clair. If you want a book that has an amazing story, great characters and well.....lots of Zombies then this is the book for you!!!!!!

"great" - Rated 5/5
The first book was good, the second one, was ok, but not as good as the first. This one is great.

This book is not an exhibition of english language being used to the fullest extent, but rather a short, entertaining book to keep you occupied for a couple of days, so dont buy it expecting to be blown away by S.D. Perry's awesome grasp of the english language, because if you do, you'll come out dissapointed.

Saying that, the language isnt terrible, it serves its purpose, but its aimed at a "mature" audience, which basically means teenagers, so S.D. Perry, talented as she is, won't be wanting to make it hard to understand by making the language complicated.

This book is based on the second (and best, in my opinion) Resident Evil game. It takes the story from the perspective of the 6 main characters in the game, which are Leon Kennedy, a rookie cop on his first day, Claire Redfield, a young woman looking for her brother Chris Redfield, Sherry Birkin, a twelve year old girl, Ada Wong, an Umbrella spy, Brian Irons the chief of police and Annette Birkin, An Umbrella scientist.

In the game, it takes only the perspective of Leon and Claire, and the other characters work around their story. In the book, Brian Irons, who barely features in the game, is given a more prominant role, and its interesting how Perry delves into his paranoid mind, and explains what he has being doing throughout the game. Annette Birkin is also a more main character in the game, and Perry also explains what she was thinking, and also why she does certain things in the game.

This book, despite being the longest in the series, is still, in my opinion; too short. although it is supposed to be read in a few days, and its published by "pocket books" so its obviously meant to be read, say on a journey or something, it still could have been longer.

Still, despite this, i would recommend this book to everyone who wants an enjoyable read.
