YOUR MOTHER, SISTER, FRIEND ALL IN ONE! - Rated
I first saw Iyanla on Oprah, she was an absotute inspiration with her phrase "I AM the beloved". She was right. In "Fath In The Valley" Iyalna has given us a book which teaches us the appropriate lesson at the right time. Her style is firm but has all the warmth of a dear friend, and the wisdom and compassion of your dearest teachers. She teaches us to take responsibility for ourselves and in doing this rescue ourselves from poverty on the journey towards peace. Every lesson is clearly laid out and the book itself is an ingenious quick reference that gets straight to the heart of every issue. Iyanla wastes no time in getting to the point, and suffers no distractions in getting there. Her message is clear: have faith, have peace, and forgive yourself; or as quoted in her book "It's about believin' when you ain't got nothin' to believe in"- Whitney Houston. My copy comes with me most places, and it's always there when I can't get hold of a friend. Thank you Ylanla, and Bravo!

THE MENTAL EQUIVALENT OF A HUG.... - Rated
I picked up "Faith" at a book fair on impulse, and I never leave home w/out it. I'm a full-time wife, mother and employee, as well as a part-time college student, and sometimes I felt as if I couldn't do it all, but those pages speak to me each time I feel like I can't deal. Her passages always give you the permission to, no matter what, take care of yourself. I got 2 more copies for my mother and my sister, and I copy pages to mail to my equally burdened friends. Thank you Iyanla, for pointing out and praising our strengths. I'm getting every other book ASAP!!!

Inspirational and In-Your-Face - Rated
This is a brilliant book that is perfect for any woman (or man) who feels they need just a little extra help in their lives. It is easy to find a page dealing with just what you need to hear; the author has provided an index for easy, quick guidance. The passages are clear, to the point, and brimming with truth. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who needs that extra push; this book is helpful and inspiring!
