Customer Reviews

well worth a read - Rated 4/5
Don't normally write reviews but they have been really helpful to me in helping me pick which charmed book to next buy!
The brewing storm isnt one of my favourite charmed books but it is well worth a read! I have read quite a few of charmed books and this one doesn't disappoint, i recommend it as a 'must' to any charmed fan and a gd book (gr8 plot) to any reader.

An easy and fantastic read - Rated 5/5
The Brewing Storm...

We see the return of Tyler. The firestarter from the season 4 episode "Lost and Bound". Remember it? Well here is a sypnopsis anyway:

Wanting to protect a ten-year-old orphaned boy who is a firestarter, Piper and Leo try to hunt down the demon before he can deliver the kid to The Source. Meanwhile, Phoebe is given Gram's wedding ring by Cole, but to their surprise the ring has been cursed to transform the wearer into a traditional 1950's suburban housewife.

Another hilarious episode. Well at the end Tyler's powers were bound and now he is with a new foster family. That is until he is attacked by a demon in the middle of the night and goes missing. When Piper is preparing the perfect meal for her husband Leo, guess who turns up on the doorstep? Yep. It's Tyler. Well soon they learn that Tyler along with three other "Elementals" must preform a ritual on "The Night of Aeolus" to stop the demon Tempus from taking control of the weather and destroying the world. Now it is up to them to find the other Elementals and perform the ritual before midnight. Oh and Tempus' Minions are chasing them and trying to steal the Elementals powers but no pressure :D

A truly hilarious and memrable book from the Charmed series and one not to be missed. A true gem of the series and any hardcore fan would be lost without it. It is also not too confusing and I recommend it to anyone who is looking to get into the series

The Brewing Storm (Charmed) - Rated 3/5
I'll start off by saying I really liked the way a character from the TV series, Tyler, was in this book.
However, this book really wasn't up to standards. It plodded along, no big surprises, and the ending was really lacklustre "baddie, baddie gone, disaster averted" in about three pages. I really feel more could have been done with the plot, especially the ending.

Definatley worth reading - Rated 5/5
This book was great. It had an interesting plot, good characters,I really really enjoyed it and my cousin also loves it!! I would definatley reccomend this book to any charmed fan the only thing wrong with this paticular book was no.1 Prue Halliwell but Piper helps make up for the loss. The only other problem is Pheobe was in the book! I hate Pheobe

The Brewing Storm leads all the Charmed novels - Rated 4/5
Fans of the hit sci-fi series will love this Charmed novel. While previous books have failed to deliver as good a story as some TV episodes, The Brewing Storm is promising from the start.

When a book is published on a popular TV series, we are often confronted by familiar, slightly predictable stories and characters who never seem to grow or have original feelings from that of their on-screen persona. The Brewing Storm takes the characters of Paige, Piper and Phoebe and develops their their personal thoughts and feelings into the story line, making it more three dimensional than previous books.

Human feelings are also touched upon, aside from the supernatural, with Police Officer and friend of the Charmed ones; Darryl. Also, the struggles of a child who has been transferred to different foster homes and his fears are played out well, attracting the sympathy of the reader.

The storyline does follow a structured pattern we expect from these books, similar to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. We expect our heroes to always prevail as the series of books continue so how can we complain about the lack of surprises towards the end of these stories?
