agree with previous review, but.... - Rated The previous 1star review is right, this book does not contain those fundamental details but it is still a nice book and I'm glad I got it. It is more of a who's who in various jewellers and earrings they have made but there are some lovely examples that are inspiring and give lots of ideas for various materials to try. Could have been better as outlined by the other review but still a nice little book. Not a good addition to the Jewellery Handbooks series - Rated This offering is primarily a showcase of contemporary designers, rather than a book on the construction and function of earrings. There are a couple of projects, but there is no discussion of the vitally important construction details - for example, what sort of weight is comfortable, what fittings are used, what diameter wire works for pins, how to fabricate basic fittings... And so on. All of the subjects that would make this book a worthy addition to the Jewellery Handbooks series are sadly lacking; if I'd wanted a compilation of who is making what, I'd have bought one of the Lark 500 books instead. Keenly anticipated; late in arriving; very, very disappointing in execution.

Not a good addition to the Jewellery Handbooks series - Rated 1/5
This offering is primarily a showcase of contemporary designers, rather than a book on the construction and function of earrings.
