Sculpting in Stone Review - Rated Having bought this book I found that the review given above seems to suggest that this book has more depth than it actually does. The first half of the book contains general theoretical knowledge such as on sedimentary, metamorphic rock, etc. The descriptive element then increasingly dwindles towards the end of the book where photos become more dominant. This book really needs to be more than 1/2 cm thick to justify the price and contain the level of depth needed. In places this book appears to be vague in its description on the process of the carving projects it is attempting to explain. Still, not without interesting snippets of information here and there and an interesting view of some carving projests. Overall, worth a look if book can be obtained at cheap enough a price.
