inspirational - Rated
I am inspired to make nearly all the projects in this book, but so far I've only managed 3. They are modern, uncomplicated and use colour brilliantly.

fab projects - Rated
great book, loads of wonderfull projects to make for all occations. even my 9 year old son made a little denim draw string bag out of his brothers old trousers from this book! fab easy directions, and wonderfull colourfull pictures to intrest everbody.

Beautiful but not for beginners - Rated
This colourful book has some beautiful photographs illustrating some interesting projects. However I am really new to patchwork and quilting and struggled with the "clear step by step instructions" as stated in the synopsis. I am keen to try some of the smaller projects to build my skills but found some of the instructions hard to follow. I can only assume that this is down to lack of skills. The projects using applique hearts are pretty and the zip up bags look lovely although these are past my current sewing skills.
This book is something for me to aim for, but I will be using other books to practise the basics first.

Fun & funky patchwork - Rated
This is my most used book on patchwork - it's such fun, and so practical -nothing of the serious quilt maker here. You can make a blanket for dolly, wall hanging, table runner, bags, covers, apron, sewing set, there are instructions for a fabulous set of bags with zips that my friends are queuing up for! A wonderful book with items you can truly enjoy making whilst practicing your patchwork techniques as the same time. Brilliant.So far I have made a quilt, several of the zip up bags, a colourful tote (using a different construction method from my usual one) and am starting on the sewing kit set next. Instructions aren't what you'd call comprehensive, but really it's easy to see what has to be done.

Very Inspirational - Rated
I wholeheartely agree with the previous reviewer. This book is full of colour, innovation and inspiration. So far I've only browsed through it, having only just received it, but am looking forward to trying out many of the projects. It really does make you want to get sewing right away, as there are so many unusual ideas, like the raw edge work, that I haven't used before. Well worth the purchase. I will try to write an updated review when I have actually made up some of the projects.
