Customer Reviews

Limited or too specific in interpretations - Rated 2/5
According to this book, almost all the interpretations for different dream symbols are contrary to what you dream about. So if you dream of unhappiness then you can expect happiness. The answers are also very specific and seem to relate most of the time to money, business and success or lack thereof. It almost seems to portray what's important to the authors rather than including many other aspects of life that people find important such as past experiences. Also, it seems to concentrate so much more on portraying future events that you may well not have any control over such as inheritance, rather than looking within yourself to find out more about yourself and your subconscious. In my current situation and dreams, I find this book misses the point as opposed to other books based on psychology. These authors are not psychologists, one is a psychic interested in ghosts and the other a journalist interested in dreams.

Essential bedside book - Rated 5/5
This is a great little book. There are loads of enteries and more often than not I have been able to look up most aspects of my dreams. There is also a really good chapter on interpretation and how to apply different aspects of your dream, such as what is important, what's not so important and what should be ignored and how to unite the different parts of your interpretations to form a bigger picture. there is also some very good use of cross-referencing to help you find more accurate definitions and to explore the dream further.

Also, one of the reviews I read said it was written in American english. It isn't, it's written in British english but you just need to make sure you look up the absolute correct names for some items (i.e. automobile instead of car; stockings instead of socks) but these are often cross-referenced to the correct entry anyway. And the spellings are definitely British!

If I had to find a fault it would be that there could be more definitions but saying that, there are loads in there as it is. I'd definitely recommend this.

Oh, yeah, and I really like the cover too :o)

An excellent insight into the world of dreams - Rated 5/5
This is the perfect book for anyone interseted in the interpretation of dreams.
After only owning the book a few days I found myself looking up there hidden meanings and was instantly impressed. Since byeing this book parts of my life have begun to make just a little bit more sence.
The book is clear and easy to understand and gives thousands of insights into different dream symbols and meanings.

A must for your bedside table - Rated 5/5
This is the best dream dictionary around! Be warned that it uses American language, so look for alternative words, eg automobile for car, diaper for nappy. Cross referencing within the dictionary makes this easy.

It is spookily accurate, not just for me but for friends, family and colleagues. I have had my copy for over 10 years and would be lost without it, not a week goes by without me looking up a dream.

A worthwhile investment, everyone should have a copy on their bedside table!

Great Book! - Rated 5/5
I have had a copy of this book since 1975! It has travelled the world with me, and the pages are falling out, pages are dog earred, pages torn and taped together. It has excellent and accurate interpretations. I have been searching for a copy to replace the one I have, but I am reluctant to do so! I recommend this book to everyone who is interested in interpretting their dreams.
