Line Discontinued Not Worth The Cash! - Rated
Surprisingly enough, wizards never managed to out-match the wargames giant Games-Workshop so the line was discontinued. That means this game is dead and seriously dead at that. If you do want to buy it i suggest you play the D&D roleplaying pen and paper game also, you'll find tht the Chainmail starter set introduces systematics for large scale battles which the Pen and Paper game does not accomodate.

Wizards of the Coast, seeing the rise of Warhammer games and the recent Lord of the Rings game, decided to take the characters and creatures of Dungeons and Dragons and put them into a skirmish battle setting!

The Miniatures are fab, the rules are quick to learn and the games is great fun! It is very similar to Games Workshop's Mordheim skirmish game with small groups of men fighting little battles.

The cardboard scenery is a little..err..flat but the website...has loads of great print-out-and-build scenery bits - houses, walls, castles and more!

...(the price) is a bargain for what you get in the box. It is a stand-alone game - no need to buy big and expensive rulebooks!
