A fun take on your classic fairytales - Rated This is great book which interlinks three classic stories, Jack and the Beanstalk, Goldilocks and the three Bears and Red Riding Hood, against a background of other fairytales and nursery rhymes and a copy of the Fairytale Newspaper at the back of the book adds an extra dimension.. The pictures are fun, and my children enjoy the map page where they can spot the houses where the three pigs and Cinderella live for example. The picture of the wolf running through the wood in Granny's nightclothes is always good for a giggle and look out for the peeking roving reporter who is collecting news items for the Fairytale Newspaper. Both my son 4 and daughter 5 choose this from the shelf - I recommend it. Fairytale News! What a great read! - Rated I wasn't expecting my own copy of 'Fairytale News' at the end of the book (what a fantastic surprise!). The book and the newspaper are both very funny, clever and brilliant! My whole family loved it and if you like fairy tales I dare you not to...
