The board book is NOT the original version!!! - Rated
Having already bought this 5-star book for my daughter (who adores it) I bought this one for a friend thinking the board format would be a good idea. But the text is different! The whole part that addresses death in a very simple, clear manner has been replaced by some syrupy watered down text that avoids the subject completely. No mention of this in the introduction - if I buy an abridged version, I want to know about it in advance.

A wonderful, clever and funny book about unconditional parental love, -what every parent should have bundles of...no matter what! And the most beautiful amd comforting message that love is eternal and enduring...I want my little boy to read this to his children one day and be able to look at the stars and know how much his Mommy STILL loves him.

A Classic Story of Parental Love - Rated
This book pairs excellent illustrations with concise rhyming text to produce a beautiful, reassuring story particularly suited to bedtime. Children recognise how frustrating it can be when parents are too busy to pay attention, realising by the end of the story that no matter what you look like or how naughty you can be, parental love is unconditional. My two pre-schoolers find this book very entertaining and it is a frequent request at all times of the day. Luckily, it is also entertaining for the adult reader!

I read this book for the first time at the weekend to my niece. She knew all the words and loved reading it together. It's a truly beautiful story, although the it did leave me with a tear in my eye!!!

This is a lovely story. It tells children that you will love them all the time, no matter what. It explains to your child that your love for them will never end. My little girl adores it, and so do I!
