Customer Reviews

Excellent - Rated 5/5
This is one of the best books i seen so far, and it really helps with your A level physics, great colour representation, diagrams, good end of chapter questions for each topic, a truely admiring A level physics, no matter what board your doing, this book will give it all :D
This book has everything you need for the exams, and suitable for all exam boards.

Finally a proper revision guide - Rated 5/5
I'm currently just finishing my GCSEs. Nevertheless this revision has already been very useful to me. Unlike most other revision guides (GCSE and A-Level alike) the Collins Advanced Science revision guides go into the detail that allows you to truly understand the subject at hand. In other words, your knowledge of the subject is based on understanding and logic, rather than a mishmash of raw facts.

The book maintains clarity and coherence throughout, and the science is backed up with case studies that help with the applied side of the subject. Diagrams and images are all top-notch, and presentational style is consistent from beginning to end.

The book covers the specifications of all the main A-Level exam boards.

Whether you are doing A-Level Physics, studying physics at GCSE and want a more well rounded knowledge, or simply have an interest in the subject, don't hesitate in buying this book. This is by far and away (along with the other Collins Advanced Science revision guides) the best revision guide I have ever owned.

The mother of all A-level Physics books! - Rated 5/5
A very good comprehensive and full colour book covering every aspect of my AS and A2 AQA(B) Physics course. I recommend you buy this book instead of other AS/A2 revision study guides. This book does go beyond A2 level and I think it may be too advanced for GCSE students due to the mathematics involved however, explanations are well written and diagrams are easy to understand.

Comprehensive - Rated 5/5
When I discovered this book I thought it was merely an expansion on the slimmer Collins As/A2 textbooks with some more I.T. and pictures. Not only did it surpass my expectations, it proved to be a fantastic insight into A-Level Physics. Every topic has its own extensive chapter including the optional modules of medical, astrophysics etc.

The book provides the reader with a good grounding in the principals of classical and quantum physics. Each chapter has extensions, features and most importantly exam questions. Other test your self-questions are available while reading the text. I fully recommend this book to any A-Level student as well as any one who wants to brush up on physics. This book combines easily with the Oxford University Press textbook, Advanced Physics by Steve Adams, Jonathan Allday.
