Great book - Rated
I am a science teachers and I think this book is great. Covers what the students need to know completely, clearly and with good examples. The questions are well thought out and perfect for a GCSE pupil studying this subject. Learn what is in this book and you will get an A* without a doubt.
Great book to aid revision - Rated
Since this year was the start of gcse science modules, i used this AQA book to revise. This book covers pretty much everything you need to know, and applys to science to every day life applications. I have done 3 out of 4 physics exams so far, managing to get an A* in all of them so far, and i only revise from this book. Great book, i really recommend it!

Buy another if you can... these books aren't great. - Rated
This guide is vague and in my eyes quite useless. Although the information is presented in a nice pretty colour scheme and has questions which you could do in your sleep... the guide is pretty bad at explaning the need to know. Reasons for my dislike for this guide:
-The book has little boxes that say "Bump Up your Grade" which are often quite useful but in most cases they tell you that you need to know something to bump up your grade but they do not tell you what exactly that is needed to know to increase your grade.
-The guide's contents page are in absolute shambles. It is insanely difficult to look up a certain topic in the book unless you have already seen it before and know where it is. The topics are aplit into numbers... 1.2,1.3 etc but do not give an exact page number and so you need to flick through until you find it, although normally you can have a vagueguess as where abouts in the guide it may be. (fortunately there are not alot of pages)
-However, the book is specific for AQA and has some useful information that will not go amiss but the guide is also very thin and probably 3/4 of the book is taken up by pictures or just plain space.
If you are doing AQA GCSE then I would recommend a CGP guide or some other guide and only use this as a last resort as frankly, this guide is useless (although pleasing to look at with lots of nice pictures :D).
