Customer Reviews

laughed till I cried! - Rated 5/5
absolutley brilliant-sarcastic,witty,sattirical-don't we all recognise someone,if not ourselves, who drives like this?! I couldn't contain the laughter on reading the 'Theory test' questions-a wonderful present to yourself or anyone who appreciates a lighthearted look at the Rules of the Road.Worth every penny!

Genuine comedy - Rated 5/5
This book is a fine specimen of genuine British comedy. Don't believe the reviews that say this book is rubbish or boring! It is designed to be a lighthearted joke of a book and it certainly fits its purpose.

Be careful when browsing in the presence of others because they will ask you why you are laughing out loud (and i mean loud..)! Clearly a lot of effort has gone into writing this. Much of it does resemble how we tend to drive after passing your test and so it is easy to relate!

This book is ridiculously funny and you will want to read it out to other folks to share the comedy. From pictures of cows in high vis vests with flashing beacons on their heads to careful diagrams of horse signals from the rear - you will find it funny as it seems to tickle our universally accepted sense of humour!

Please buy this book to see what I mean (especially because it is also a bargain)! And promise me not to take it all so seriously, its meant to be that random and funny!

Fun, funny book. - Rated 5/5
Not a book to be read in a public place, such as a coffee shop, as the loud guffaws of laughter make people nervous.

Brilliant, witty writing, sharp observation of the rather odd fascinations of road users and those what try to govern them.

I would rather read the highway code than this - Rated 1/5
This book is a joke, the authors or loosely termed authors must not have spent much time or thought in producing this absolutely mediocre rubbish which i have found more useful as a door stop. If you have to buy a present for someone you don't like for xmas then buy this book otherwise don't bother. Try harder lads

Brilliant AND a bargain - Rated 5/5
As well as making great toilet reading for the average bloke, this is a superior parody of the original Highway Code. Not an obvious "let's replace the word 'must' with 'must not' everywhere" approach, but a well thought-out and hilarious guide to the modern road. I particularly liked the bits about chuggers, skidding and box junctions as well as 16 pages of signs and signals. The only pity is that it doesn't have a dust jacket/sleeve - opting instead for a paper lined hardcover (which I'm not over the moon about, though you may feel quite differently). That said, this is a funny, funny book, printed in full colour throughout on high-quality paper. At [...]it's a bargain.
