Judge for yourself - Rated 4/5
I agree that the author mentions his clinic far more often than necessary, but still, I'm surprised at the negativity of some reviewers. "Quackery" ? Chiropractitioners have to study extensively, including pretty detailed anatomy and physiology . Our GP however, who is obviously qualified though not perhaps expert, I would only trust her with basic medical issues... I wouldn't approach her regarding issues such as learning difficulties as she is from the "take a pill and stop whingeing" end of the medical spectrum. I'm a qualified nurse and have two boys with "dyspraxic tendencies" (identified originally by a teacher) and I'm open to suggestions and theories. Knowledge and understanding is still developing in this field after all. I don't consider myself easily "brainwashed" or "duped". I found this book interesting and informative and many reviewers seemed to think the same. I found it pulled together a number of ideas I had seen before, but in a useful way...and my kids love many of the recipes. I'm off to buy the next book which has the "standing on one leg while brushing your teeth" exercise...and why not? Give this book a try...it might help you and yours.

the hard sell - Rated 1/5
This book seems to me much like the dore programme,an advertisement for the hard sell. Parents like us who want the best for our children can be lulled into thinking that putting our children's future treament into the hands of unqualified therapists is the way forward. It is not.I researched and found that only Qualified medical specialists see the whole picture and dont claim a cure. I went down the behavioural Optomitrey route no hard sell, diet and individual physical prescription at a fraction of the cost and no self promotion involved.A doctor is a doctor a chiropracter is a chiroprater beware of the hard sell.

Is That My Child? Review of book and programme - Rated 5/5
I bought the book in summer 2006 after having looked at a number of avenues. My child was borderline ADHD so the NHS said. I read the book and started implementing the strategies that Dr Pauc recommended. We noticed a slight change. I then contacted Tinsley House Clinic and arranged for an assessment. Cut a long story short we are now 4 months into the programme and I cannot believe the child in front of my eyes. He\is calm relaxed, communicating as a 10 year old should, energetic and no longer fighting against us. I was a sceptic before, but my goodness what results expert support, guidance and determination can do. Good luck to all those out there who are faced with ADD and ADHD.

A must have for all parents - Rated 5/5
We were considering putting our child on medication for his hyperactivity until we read this book. Just implementing the recommended diet (which is really easy and simple to follow) changed my child's behaviour beyond recognition. The easy to read text is simple to understand, and everything written makes perfect sense.

Maybe the Child Mental Health Services of the NHS should get a copy of this book! They could save a fortune on treatments.

He is simply amazing.... - Rated 5/5
Dr. Pauc's book entitled "Is that my child?" is a book that will change the lives of any parent/carer/teacher who has or who knows a child/ren with behavioural problems.
I enjoyed thoroughly reading this book which I found of great practical use. This book is quite simply fantastic and I'd like to tell you why.....
Dr. Pauc's work is one that is uniquely addressed to parents and educators who are directly and personally challenged by a variety of syndromes affecting children.
His book presents the common groupings of learning and behavioural disorders of childhood in their reality as symptoms rather than as diseases.
Dr. Pauc also speaks of things that can go wrong within a child's environment or nutrition and gives direction in how to direct change.
He gives real hope to parents which is supported by his personal success in the treatment of so many children who suffer with these syndromes.
Dr. Pauc has a theory which welcomes concepts that are refreshingly interesting, but most significantly, applicable in the diagnosis and the treatment of childhood brain-based problems.

Having read this wonderful, erudite, interesting and mind-blowing (pardon the pun Dr. Pauc!)
book, it is definitely written for parents and professionals who are faced with the personal reality of increasing cases of learning and behavioural disorders in children.
I too, like Dr. Pauc, believe that you do need this book, because this book is a groundbreaking work with a revolutionary new treatment.
The breakthrough is a link that Dr. Pauc made between what happens when there is a problem in the development of brain cells that happens in all children at about four months of age and the effect that has on a child's developing brain.
Dr. Pauc enlightens you with his cutting- edge neurology and probably the single greatest breakthrough in paediatric neurology this decade, when he reveals how a problem with the second-wave of nerve cell generation is the cause of a child's developmental delay.
I could not put this book down! Every spare moment I had , which was not often, as I have a hyperactive toddler with `non-specific developmental delay' who is highly intelligent and who runs on premium petrol from the moment he awakens until the moment he falls fast asleep; I would be taking in all that Dr. Pauc had written.

Reading this book for me, was like finding the jewel in the crown, i.e. to actually have found someone who could associate with such behavioural disorders and someone who could explain the reasons why a child did what it did and then what to do about putting it right.
Dr. Pauc's book should be made mandatory in being given to every new mother in every maternity hospital in every country in the world before she returns home with the new baby
Every Doctor's surgery should have a copy of this dynamic book too. It certainly has changed my life. Remember knowledge is power...

I have had the greatest pleasure in meeting Dr. Pauc and as I write, my little toddler, Guy, is now under his care. What a difference we have seen in our little boy already and that's only after one visit! We have been following Dr. Pauc's instructions with the exclusion diet and the daily brain excercises and we know that it won't be long before Guy is another of Dr. Pauc's success stories.
I got to know Dr. Pauc through reading his book "Is that my child?" which was published in April 2006 and after having met him, I really can say that he is understanding, intelligently funny, very compassionate, he has a very good sense of humour and he loves his work which is portrayed through his dancing eyes.
If you have a child who has a behavioural problem, I strongly advise you to make that appointment at his Tinsley House Clinic in Hampshire. You will never look back.
And he is simply amazing....
