Dog's Breakfast - Rated Why did Kathryn write this? Surely not for the cash? This is a dog's breakfast of a book that is ill conceived and poorly written. The pen is handed over , it seems, to whoever happened to be in the room at the time. The style is awkward and inconsistent and the whole things reads like a list which has been linked togther with a few phrases here and there. In obsessing with detail the richer, wider picture of the man who was Richard Whiteley, is lost. This is a book 'written' or rather compiled by someone who is not comfortable or capable of the task. It does a dis-service to its subject. Sorry! Borrow it if you have to..Don't buy it. ENTERTAINING READ RECOMMENDED - Rated Beautifully written by Kathryn told with feeling and great love. It is was so interesting to learn about Richard the man rather than Richard the tv star. This book is full of interesting tales of Richard's life with Kathryn over the many years they knew each other. Richard had quite a complicated personal life and Kathryn has shared these memories with the reader in a very entertaining way. Her memories of Richard at the end of his life and the funeral are heartbreaking and her deep love for him comes through in her writing. BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN AND RECOMMENDED.

Beautifully written by Kathryn told with feeling and great love. It is was so interesting to learn about Richard the man rather than Richard the tv star.

This book is full of interesting tales of Richard's life with Kathryn over the many years they knew each other. Richard had quite a complicated personal life and Kathryn has shared these memories with the reader in a very entertaining way.

Her memories of Richard at the end of his life and the funeral are heartbreaking and her deep love for him comes through in her writing.
